$25,000 Grants to USA Nonprofits for Social Justice and Anti-Discrimination Initiatives

The HerbBlock Foundation is a well-known political cartoonist. THe HerbBlock has Grants of up to $25,000 to USA nonprofit organizations for initiatives that protect the rights of citizens and combat discrimination.

Applicants must submit a letter of inquiry prior to applying. Funding is intended to eliminate all forms of prejudice and discrimination, to assist government agencies to be more accountable to the public, and to safeguard basic freedoms guaranteed in the Bill of Rights. The Foundation will also consider contemporary societal issues that may arise.

Please note that organizations that wish to apply for a grant are required to first submit a Letter of Inquiry.

To submit a hard copy, Letters of Inquiry must be received by mail or dropped off in The Herb Block Foundation’s offices no later than 6:00 p.m. The Foundation does not accept Letters of Inquiry via email.

Your organization must choose to either proceed through the whole application process via online or hard copy. Those organizations that mailed in a Letter of Inquiry may use the WRAGs Common Grant Application if invited for a full proposal. Those organizations that submitted their Letter of Inquiry online will receive an email notification and a link to the Foundation’s Online Full Proposal Application.
